Guest Post & Giveaway with Author Stacey Espino

Today I want to welcome Author Stacey Espino! *waves* Welcome Stacey and Thank you so much for stopping by to visit with us.

Why do we love bad boys?
I find my readers always fall for the bad boy in my books.  The question is why?
In Taming Jenna, most of my readers preferred Conner.  He had a damaged past, personal demons, and wasn't looking for love.

In Catch Me If You Can, they liked James.  He was a messed-up cowboy who hated the world and himself.  He pushed away serious relationships, and didn't offer apologies for his behavior.

Are we gluttons for punishment, pushing away men who want to coddle us in exchange for a damaged man we have to fix?  Why does an alpha male who craves dominating his woman turn us on?
Personally, I think many women want a bad boy who is generally good with underlying redeeming qualities.  Maybe it's the mother in us that wants to fix him, or help him have a happily ever after—with us.  Or it's the dormant little girl we all possess that wants to be dominated, protected, and cherished.
What kind of hero do you prefer in your books?

* Leave a comment and valid email address and you could win a Book from Stacey's Back list*

Review: Undercover Lovers by Dee Carney, Chloe Cole, Cari Quinn & Dee Tenorio

"Four ultra-sexy stories by four great authors, with one theme.

Who's undercover?
Shane Madison - Dead sexy private eye posing as a Strippendale's dancer
Tucker Lamb - Smooth as butter former conman posing as nerdy professor
Saffron Burton - Sensual food critic posing as just another customer
Katrina Killian - Brazenly sexual cop posing as a gang member

Conquered by Cari Quinn - Serial monogamist, Emma Donegan, has never had a one night stand. But when she sees the sexy cop-stripper at a friend's bachelorette party, she resolves to make her most risque fantasies come true.

Playing the part of a stripper is way out of private detective Shane Madison's comfort zone, but the future of his business hangs on this one case. Too bad the incriminating evidence leads right to the irresistible brunette who keeps slipping tens into his g-string. He can't let her distract him. Who knew it would be so hard...

Conned by Chloe Cole - Human sexuality Professor Cricket Malloy likes bad boys, but when buttoned-up Science Professor Tucker Lamb needs help with an experiment on aphrodisiacs, she goes the extra mile to help him out. After all, he's harmless...

Tucker Lamb was born into a life of a grifter. He's always prided himself on his fast fingers and quicksilver tongue. Ever since being placed in the witness protection program, he's been on the up and up, but something about Cricket Malloy makes him ache to see if his tongue is as fast as it used to be.

Consumed by Dee Carney- It's no surprise Chef August Jaeger's rivals would do anything to discover the secrets of his signature dishes. When the curvaceous woman of his dreams shows up out of the blue, he grows suspicious. Fortunately, the best way to get to the truth is by offering a private dining experience that would teach her a passionate lesson she won't soon forget.

Food journalist Saffron Burton has a job to do: find out what August is serving for Restaurant Week or lose her job. But with every course that passes her lips-and every minute in his presence-she's finding what she really wants isn't listed on any menu...

Convicted by Dee Tenorio - Crusty sheriff Cade Evigan doesn't date convicts, not even ones as irresistible as Katrina "K.K." Killian. The woman may have gotten under his skin-and once, on the hood of his car-but the sultry biker had criminal written all over her. He has to stay away.

When the crap hits the fan and the case she's been working on for two years cracks wide open, Katrina heads straight to the hills to protect the one man she cares about. But some temptations are impossible to resist and she knows if she stays with Cade for the night, odds are her cover isn't the only thing getting blown..."

Not only is this anthology super sexy, It's HOT!!! Okay not just HOT, But Scorching!! It includes Novellas Consumed by Dee Carney, Conned by Chloe Cole, Conquered by Cari Quinn and Convicted by Dee Tenorio. To make this easy  for everyone including myself I have reviewed the stories in the order that they appear in the anthology. I need to thank the Awesome Dee Carney for giving me some of the best sex of my life *cough* I mean giving me the chance to read and review this scorching anthology and to let you ladies know I was NOT disappointed.

Consumed by Dee Carney

August Jaegar is not only the best chef but a wickedly hot one at that. He doesn't just work all these long hours for nothing he made himself the best. To keep everyone away from all his delicious dishes he doesn't like dealing with reporters. It just so happens when he is working hard one night, in comes the woman of his dreams and he cant help but offer her a private showing. Saffron Burton happens to be a food critique working at the Denver Daily and manages to catch August's eye right from the first moment he lays his eyes on her. Food wont be the only thing they will tasting. *wink*

Okay so everyone know I love Dee Carney. Her style of writing is not only unique but flows so well and perfect all together. Now if you think her other stories are hot, you need to read this one.The passion between August and Saffron is just heart stopping right from the first page. She did an excellent job on explaining and making me understand the restaurant business. Hell, because of her I know want my won chef to cook all those wonderful things but heat me up in the kitchen.

I just hated that it was so short. I wanted more Saffron and August!! I could totally picture more of their story. I need to recommend Consumed for anyone who loves food, passion, and a chef to literally drool over. I mean the things this man can do in and out of the kitchen will get your fire started for sure.

Conned by Chloe Cole

Tucker Lamb is a professor teaching Science at Westside. He just so happens to be in the witness protection program and doesn't wait to blow his cover. He has the hots for Professor Dr. Eleanor Malloy who just so happens to teach Human Sexuality at the school. Although he has been there for a short time their sparks don't start flying until they agree to join their class projects to teach the kids that Science and Human Sexuality are a like.

Chloe Cole is a new author for me, but that didn't stop me from getting into this little hot read. She brings in a  well written and steamy romance. The attraction that she brought to her story was more than sizzling it was over powering. And I absolutely loved it every minute of it!!

The plot was different and something that I am not used to. Tucker just has this bad boy edge that you get caught up in even though he has turned his life completely around. Eleanor I have to say was my favorite. She bold and didn't hold back. I wish I could have learned more about both characters. This read is funny, sexy and a tad emotional. Cole brings the heat to this story so make sure you have a glass of water near by.

Conned by Chloe Cole  is another must read and I am looking forward to reading more from her in the future. Her writing will make you just sizzle with need.

Conquered by Cari Quinn

Shane Madison happens to be a  Private Investigator trying to make his own firm a successful. He is determined that he would not walk away from another career since he had walked away from being a Police Officer.

Emma Donegan is still single and wants experience some hot passion even if its just one time. After just breaking up with her boyfriend, she embarks out on a girls night of play over at Strippendales for her best friends bachelorette party. It just so happens that Shane is working undercover. When he sees Emma for the first time he loses himself.

Cari Quinn brings an excellent story to this wonderful book. I found myself laughing and enjoying the story of how Emma and Shane interact. It really was to die for. Emma and Shane for sure had me dying to get deeper into the story and with them I went from laughing to fanning myself. Just overall excellent!

Shane and Emma were both just lovable and the attraction that they have will knock your socks off. Quinn has them exploding off the pages and me panting for more and more. I want to recommend this story  because Quinn not only has an excellent writing style that you get but is just

I would most definitely recommend this to fans of Cari Quinn. She knows how to keep you on your toes to make every little bit count.

Convicted by Dee Tenorio

Dee Tenorio is anothor new author for me and story story just got me from start to finish. I have a thing for men in uniforms and guess what this had.... why yes it did!  Former Marine Cade Evigan is now the Sheriff of Marketta. He is a soldier who has fought in a war and now is back in town trying to make sense of his life.

Katrina Killian is a undercover DEA agent whose job is to bring down a biker gang. When they first meet the passion that sizzles between them was just off the charts. Katrina is determined to have Cade so why do they keep fighting it?

Katrina gets through all of Cade's defences and the emotions until he has no choice then surrender to her. They way she made her characters were just outstanding. Both kick ass! The build up was just phenomenal but you kind of don't expect it to go that way. I mean hello she is undercover. Lol. But my whole point is that I enjoyed it.

I loved everything about this story. It wasn't just sexy but fast paced. Cade is super sexy and Katrina comes off as a loyal kick ass female. She even goes to the breaking point to protect him even though Cade can surly protect himself. What made this one stick out a bit more was the epilogue after it was over. I wish all the ladies whould have touched back base in with their characters as she did.

I am a new fan of Dee Tenorio and I was not disappointed. This is a read No one should miss. And it doesn't hurt that Cade is sexy and the story is heart warming.

I just loved, loved, loved these stories and I hope in the future they will work together again. They are all very extremely talented and the stories are so universal you cant help but be captured into the mix of what they bring out. If you haven't picked up your copy - Its a must! These reads will not leave you disappointed. Happy Reading!

Review: Terms of Surrender (Harlequin Blaze) by Leslie Kelly

"Subject: Danny Wilkes, navy pilot.
Current status: On shore rotation. Very intrigued by a sassy visiting lecturer…
Mission: Enter the astronaut training program.
Obstacle: Marissa Marshall, Ph.D. She's keeping Danny preoccupied with earthly delights…
Danny Wilkes might have outgrown his risk-taking flyboy days, but he still loves a thrill now and then. And nobody's thrilled him lately like fiery Mari Marshall. Sex with her is a bigger turn-on than any of the air maneuvers Danny's ever pulled. He falls head over heels…hard.
But Mari has bitter memories of being a military brat. She'll never enter that life again—not even for the best sex she's ever had.
It's a hell of a choice. Does Danny give up his skyrocketing career? Or let go of the only woman who revs his engine into the stratosphere?"

Mass Market Paperback, 224 pages
Published May 24th 2011 by Harlequin
ISBN 037379620X (ISBN13: 9780373796205)

Once again Leslie Kelly deliverers you not just a hot, but enjoyable read. Its not only sexy but funny. This blaze will have you drooling for your own Navy Pilot.

Marissa Marshall has grown up a military brat and now PH.D. She also had some published books and a blog that she still continues to write on. But right now funds are running low from her book sales she has decided to go on a job interview at the U.S. Naval Academy to lecture a class for the summer. While on the job interview she meets a handsome man in mechanic overalls. Immediately she is attracted to him and has every reason to be. After her car battery dies he offers to have it fixed by the end of her interview.

Danny Wilkes is a sexy Navy Pilot that has dreams of reaching the stars. While at the U.S. Naval Academy he runs into the most beautiful and intriguing woman who he has ever come a cross. This beautiful woman he for sure wants to see again. Fixing her car battery isn't all he would like to fix. He fixes the battery and offers lunch on his boat. Will this woman take this opportunity?

I loved the plot! I totally have this thing for men in uniform and Danny is for sure swoon worthy. He's not only sexy but smart and funny. Marissa was  not only challenging but beautiful. Both characters were so likable I couldn't wait to get it started. After their first meeting I was hooked. Leslie Kelly brings out the best and the worst in the them and I just couldn't get enough. Their is nothing like a book you can devour in one complete seating. I wanted more and more. Although I knew I know Blaze books aren't usually as long but they keep you wanting more and more.

Leslie Kelly will truly knock your socks off with this hot little read. I fell in deep into this fascinating read. Her style of writing will captured me from the beginning all the way to the end. I even found myself smiling and laughing out loud. She can bring an amazing amount of humor, passion and emotion to this story. If you never read Kelly, I strongly advise you do so. Until then you have no idea what a treat this will be for you. I loved it! I am excited to see what she will come up with next! This book was released on May 24th, so I think everyone should go out and buy it today and fall in love with Mari and Danny like I did. Happy Reading!

Guest post & Giveaway with Mari Carr

Today I want to welcome Author Mari Carr!!! Thank you Mari for stopping by I appreciate it more than you know. She will Be having a Giveaway and will she will pick the winner for on Monday. Good Luck!

I had a new book release at Ellora’s Cave last week. It’s called Black Jack and it’s the first book in the Scoundrels series. It’s also my eighteenth contracted book with Ellora’s Cave—a fact that amazes me more than I can say. It also has the distinction of being my first Taboo book. Yep, after eighteen books, I finally managed to write a super dirty one! Woo Hoo!

The idea for the story started as a dare from some readers in my Yahoo group, Heat Wave Readers. Somehow in the midst of a conversation, I was dared to write a pirate story and in the book, the heroine needed to slap the hero. Odd combination, but it worked! A story popped into my mind and I couldn’t let it go until I’d written the whole thing and…now there’s a sequel screaming to be told as well.

To celebrate this release, I thought I’d give away an ebook copy of Black Jack to one commenter. All you have to do is tell me which type of historical book you’d prefer to read—a pirate adventure, a Regency romance, or a Wild West tale.

Today I thought I’d share the blurb and an excerpt from the story that shows the pirate AND the slap!

When pirate Black Jack captures a ship at sea, he considers the territorial governor’s haughty daughter part of the spoils of war. Tying the fiery beauty to his bed, Jack claims Emma as his…over and over again.

Jack has a secret. One he’s kept hidden from his best friend Emma…

When she calls in a favor, asking Jack to perform in a pirate fetish fantasy at the nightclub she manages, Emma inadvertently opens Pandora’s box—for both of them. As portraying a dominant pirate forces more of Jack’s secret desires to light, Emma finds herself enmeshed in sensual explorations of BDSM, wax play, bondage and sex in public that leave her questioning her vanilla existence.

When a second heated interlude on the stage finds her submitting to Jack, Emma suspects she’ll never find her way back to her simple missionary lifestyle. But with Jack in control…she’s not sure she wants to.

Excerpt:

“Let go of me!”
“Take it easy, lass. Come peacefully and no one will be hurt.”
“No one will be hurt because I’m not going anywhere with you.”
Black Jack Carlysle tightened his grip on the young woman’s arm. He wasn’t accustomed to backtalk from any of his subordinates and he sure as hell wasn’t going to listen to it from a mere female.
“I don’t think you fully understand your position here. My men and I have taken over your ship. Now we’re seizing our reward.”
“Stealing is more like it. You haven’t earned anything on our ship. You’re a thief and a heathen and— Ouch! You’re hurting my arm!”
“I may be all you say and more, my dear, but the fact remains, I am the captain of this ship and you are part of the spoils of war.”
The haughty woman slapped him. Hard. “We’ll see about that.”
Jack was shocked momentarily. He heard a sharp gasp behind him and knew his men had witnessed her assault. He’d intended to take her below deck and lock her in the room next to his. He knew who she was. As daughter of the territorial governor, she’d fetch a fair price in ransom.
Her blow and fiery rage ignited his temper and his final destination changed as he pushed her toward the ladder that would take them to his cabin.
“You will pay for that, my lady. In my bedroom.”
His threat pulled her up short and her struggling ceasing. “You can’t be serious. Do you know who I am?”
He chuckled mirthlessly. “I think the question that should be asked is, do you know who I am?”
Her gaze narrowed, drawing his attention to light blue eyes surrounded by thick, long black lashes. Her cheeks were flushed a lovely pink due to anger and exertion. Her breathing had accelerated, each hastily inhaled breath thrusting her full breasts forward. She’d fill his hands nicely.
No, Jack thought. It wouldn’t be a hardship bringing this hellion to heel.
“I know exactly who you are, Black Jack. And if you think I’ll quiver at the mere mention of your dreaded name like the rest of the fools on my father’s ship, then I fear you’re destined for disappointment.”
He grinned, pushing her harder than necessary toward the ladder. She stumbled slightly before catching herself. She was provoking him, daring the devil inside to come out to play. She’d struck him in front of his men. At that point, she’d lost the right to be treated with courtesy. Now he needed to make an example of her. Regardless of how much that idea rubbed against the grain.
He liked to consider himself a gentleman—usually beyond kind with the terrified women they’d kidnapped in the past. More than a few times, he’d had to gently convince the captive ladies to return home once their ransoms had been paid.
Clearly that wouldn’t be a problem this time.
She turned to face him once more, but before she could speak, he raised his finger. “Silence, woman!”
He didn’t intend to wage this battle in front of his men. It was high time she realized who she was dealing with.
“How dare you speak to me—”
Jack growled. Bending forward, he put his shoulder to the lady’s middle and lifted until her upper body hung upside down along his back.
“What the—”
“I’ve warned you more than once, my lady. Now you’re going to pay the piper.”

“Awesome,” Emma Potter said, wiggling loose from Jack’s hold. “That was perfect.”
Jack pulled the bandana off his head and stuffed it in the pocket of his jeans. “I feel like an ass.”
Emma laughed. “I owe you a big one for this, Smacker.”
Jack ignored her use of the annoying nickname. After years of friendship, she still persisted in calling him by the silly name. She’d given it to him after they’d gotten more than a bit tipsy at a bar the night Emma turned twenty-one. She’d tripped and spilled her strawberry daiquiri down the front of his shirt. He’d spent the evening smelling like a little girl’s tube of Bonne Bell lip gloss. Emma had teased him the entire night, calling him Lip Smacker. Sadly, fourteen years later, the shortened version of the name still stuck.
“I don’t think there’s a favor big enough in the world to repay me for this.” Jack leaned against the railing of the fake ship, looking out at the empty tables and chairs of the nightclub as he considered the fact they’d soon be filled with clubgoers, all watching his weak attempt at piracy.
“True that,” Emma conceded. “You’re a lifesaver, Jack. Really. I was at my wit’s end this morning. I bet I made at least fifty phone calls.”
“Glad to know I’m so high on your list,” he said sardonically, chuckling.
“Believe me, that call list isn’t one you want to be on top of.”
He looked around and shook his head. “Still find it hard to believe that you plan fetish fantasy shows for a nightclub. I’ve got to admit, when you were making your valedictory speech in high school, this wasn’t exactly where I pictured you ending up.”
“Maybe not, but I bet you knew I’d be organizing awesome parties attended by all the biggest names, right?”
Emma had been the queen of the social scene in high school. Jack thought it had probably surprised more than a few of their peers to discover she had such good grades, given her love of partying. Begrudgingly, he had to admit she was one of the most naturally intelligent people he’d ever met. She had a razor-sharp mind with a quick wit to match. Her photographic memory didn’t hurt either. Quite frankly, it had taken very little work for Emma to maintain her position at the top of their class. Not that it had been a very large class.
They’d both enrolled in USC and moved to Los Angeles from Bumfuck, North Dakota, determined to escape their small town. The third in their small gang of friends, Travis, had come along for the ride as well, mainly because he thought living in L.A. would be a lark. Little did Jack and Emma know their unmotivated, antisocial best friend would find his niche in the City of Angels.
“Yeah, I knew you’d plan awesome parties.” Jack reached up to rub his cheek. “Hey, did you have to slap me so hard?”
She rolled her eyes. “You big baby. It wasn’t that hard. Besides, the sound has to carry through the room to make it authentic.”
Jack crossed his arms. “I hope your actress doesn’t have your right hook or I’m likely to suffer a concussion.”
“Not my fault. If you’ll recall, it was you and Travis who taught me how to fight.”
“You were supposed to use those moves on the frat-boy assholes at college. Not me.”
Emma shrugged. “Looks like I got a bonus from my lessons.”
“Yeah, well, you try to lay another one of those bonuses on my face and I’m gonna return the smack. Only I won’t be aiming at the cheek on your face.”
“Promises, promises.”

I totally adding to the list now!!! Thanks for stopping by Mari and I hope to have you back soon. Have a wonderful Holiday!!!

Guest Post & Giveaway: A Day in the Life of an Admin Please Welcome Nicole

A Day in the Life of an Admin

So Danielle and I were tweeting back and forth on twitter and she was looking for some guest posters. I told her if she ever needed, I could try and come up with something fun to post. Little did I know what I was getting into he he ;).   First, maybe a bit about me, before we get to the more juicy parts *G*. Oh, and I should mention, that if you stick with me through the boring bits, there’s contest info at the end he he.

My name is Nicole and I’m Shiloh Walker’s admin/assistant, whichever you prefer to call me.  For my “day” job, I’m an attorney in Kentucky and practice family law. Before you even ask, nope I don’t give out advice without a consult ;). So please, no emails, DMs, FB messages etc even asking for information. *G*.  I have 1 dog of my own and my roommate has a dog as well. Both girls are lab mixes, mine is a black lab/dalmatian mix who is almost 10, and the roommate’s is a chocolate lab mix who just turned 5.  They’re extremely rotten and inseparable.  Here lately they’ve had cabin fever, as they spent all winter and most of the spring cooped up inside the house.  Hmmm, other things I do…well, I read A LOT and I garden.  I tend to read PNR and UF with some contemp romances and RS thrown in here and there for good measure.  I recently discovered I like RS and am looking for some new authors to read in that genre. I’ve read Shi’s of course and really like Maya Banks’ KGI series.

Danielle was interested in what I do for Shiloh…what things I help do. Honestly, it’s nothing all that spectacular, just help her with some business things that she has to do.  Things like keeping up with contest winners (emails/addresses), the occasional review requests (see Shiloh’s FAQ page for Dorine’s email as she handles these requests normally, I’m talking about when Shiloh specifically asks for people to do reviews, which happens occasionally), set up book signings if Shiloh wants to do one for an upcoming release or if she’s going to be in an area and is interested in doing one there, help scout various pirating sites and let her know of any works so she can send take down notices. Sometimes I check blurbs she may put up on the blog to make sure nothing it overly spoilerish (I love doing this!!).  Hmm, what else? I do try and keep stuff organized for her…here lately that means keeping track of when she’s asked for reviewers; who she selected for which book.  With a convention (Lori Foster’s Reader Get Together) coming up at the beginning of June, I’m keeping track of and reminding her of some things she wanted to do for it (a raffle item, etc).   If you’re coming to Lori’s let me know, would love to say hello!

One big thing she is now doing is a fan board. So, I’m helping out with that…posting, making sure things run smoothly, monitoring activity, etc.  Stop by and say hello! Right now it’s a fairly basic board. There’s no need to register at this point. For that first post, you fill in an info page and it saves that info for future posts. All you have to do is enter a captcha code each time.  Through the end of the month, Shiloh is drawing one random person who posts each week for a random prize (ebook, book off the backlist, etc). Make sure you read the contest disclaimers, though.

Basically, anything I can do to help her have more time to write and spend with her family, I’m willing to do.  I do want to make sure you lovely readers know I don’t really get anything for it, I volunteer my time to help out. Shiloh will occasionally send me books and yes, I get ARCs, even though I told her that wasn’t necessary.  I can be kind of evil at times and go purchase her stuff and not tell her about it *G*.

One last thing, make sure you follow me on Twitter/FB. I occasionally will do a contest. Note, however, though that FB contests have ceased due to FB’s new policy. So most contests will be either twitter, on Shi’s blog or the fan board, or some sort of combo of those 3.  But, I do still put fun things on FB (information on signings, etc) and interact with peeps there, which is fun.  My twitter is @admn_swalker. FB is http://www.facebook.com/NicoleAdmnSwalker   Hope to see you all around!

Now, since you’ve all stuck with me through that bit of boringness, on to what you really want…the contest info.  Shiloh has been gracious enough to let me offer a copy of Hunt Me, a Hunter’s series short story. It’s an ebook only and is in PDF format.  All you need to do is comment below.  As I mentioned earlier, I’m on the hunt for some good RS novels. Right now I prefer standalones because I have a LOT of series I’m currently reading and it’s getting harder to add any new ones to the list.  So, let me know what RS I should read. Don’t read RS? That’s fine, give me a good standalone romance or UF novel and why you like it.   Now, not to be a downer, but there are some rules. First, you’ve read the disclaimer on Shiloh’s website…it pretty much outlines the main rules she and I use for contests.  Second, since this is an ebook, you agree to not share, sell, post online, etc the book. It is for the winner’s use ONLY.   The contest is open for 24 hours. I will draw one commenter at random and I will post to twitter and the message board the name of the winner. I will NOT contact you directly, so make sure you follow me on twitter and/or check the fan board.  The winner will have two (2) weeks to email me at the address below to claim the prize. If the winner fails to do so, the prize is forefeited, I won’t draw another name.

If you have any questions about Shiloh’s books, me, etc and can’t find the answer on Shiloh’s FAQ page, around the blog…there are 2 ways to ask. There is an Open FAQ thread on the fan board or you can email me at grimmhunter.shilohwaker(at)gmail(dot)com.   Happy Reading!!

~Nicole

**You heard Nicole and all the rules. I am a Shiloh Fan myself so this is big news. So on Friday May 27th before 4pm, Nicole will Draw a winner. Please remember all the rules.  Thank you Nicole for stopping by. I hope to have you again soon. And Good Luck to everyone who enters.**

Review: Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between (Rhiannon's Law, #1) by J.A. Saare

"One bad corpse can ruin your whole day.

No one knows that better than Rhiannon Murphy.

She left behind the flash and sass of Miami for the no-nonsense groove of New York City, eager for a clean slate and a fresh start. A bartender by trade, a loud mouth by choice, and a necromancer by chance; she managed to keep her nifty talent hidden from those around her—until now.

The deliciously good-looking vampire, Disco, knows her secret. When he strolls into her bar to solicit help investigating the mysterious disappearances of his kind from the city, Rhiannon discovers he’s not the kind of person that appreciates the significance of the word no.

But in a world where vampires peddle their blood as the latest and greatest drug of choice, it’s only a matter of time before the next big thing hits the market. Someone or something is killing vampires to steal their hearts, and unlike Rhiannon, this isn’t their first stroll around the undead block."

At first I really wasn't so sure about this book. Urban fantasy is not really my forte. But the world the Saare has created was dark and had a total sexy vibe to it. Rhiannon was a bit on the rough side but I kind of enjoyed her that way. She was different and alluring at times. Rhiannon had a lot going on and she got to talk to dead people. Well to me that's pretty cool and a tad freaky.  Although she really doesn't like to talk to them and tries her hardest to ignore them.

Anyhoo, Rhiannon working as a bartender in a gentleman’s club. Disco ends up wanting to meet with her after work and needs her help. He demands her help on finding the local vampires who are disappearing. After that I was hooked. Rhiannon reminded me of Anita Blake just without the humping every guy around. She is now one of my favorite UF heroines.
I ended up liking her cause well she is honest and isn't afraid to to get down and dirty if needed. Positively kick ass!

Disco is such a different kind of guy that what I am used to reading about but he was shy and I was a bit taken back by that. The two of them were so different but hey opposites attract. I found him kind of dreamy and totally wanted to be her sometimes. Disco had some serious sexy appeal that had me swooning.

The book started off a little dull for me but then out of no where picks up speed and I couldn't slow down. The sexual tension was heart pounding and I loved every minute of it. The characters were awesome. I happened to love them both. You get a great look into Rhinannon's past as well as Disco's and that was important to me. Saare is a genius putting these two main characters together. They worked and I am a sucker for when things work. The plot was interesting and will keep you intrigued and on your toes. From what I hear we wont have to wait long for the second book in the series and I am super happy about that. I was looking for more so this is just fabulous news.

This was a wonderful book so if I were you I wouldn't wait that long to get your copy. You have no idea what you are missing. Its sexy, action packed and was so mysterious. Dead, Undead or Somewhere In Between is a great addition to the paranormal realm. Thank you Saare for giving us something great to read about. Happy Reading.
